Why small teams look for a SoWork alternative
- Free meetings stop at 30 minutes. On the free plan, each meeting is cut at half an hour. A planning session or a long pairing call needs a paid plan for everyone.
- Every member is billed. Paid plans count every member, including people who only drop in now and then, so the bill rises with each hire.
- Most of the extras are on Premium. Unlimited recording, AI summaries, integrations and analytics are on the $12 to $15 plan. A team that wants them pays more than double Basic.
- More to set up. Calendar sync, a customized office, apps on each device: useful, but more than a small team needs to see who's around and talk.
What SoWork does better
- Recording and AI notes. Basic includes two recordings; Premium records every meeting and writes summaries, transcripts and action items. TinyFloor doesn't record.
- Your calendar sets your status. When a calendar event starts, SoWork marks you as in a meeting. On TinyFloor you set your status yourself, or it shows when you join a meeting there.
- Native apps. SoWork has apps for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android as well as the browser. TinyFloor runs only in the browser.
- Room for a larger company. Team analytics, integrations such as GitHub, and on Enterprise single sign-on, SCIM and an uptime commitment.
Which one fits your team
- TinyFloor, for a small team. For 4 to 15 people who mainly need to see who's in, talk without scheduling and meet in a room, and would rather pay one price than count seats.
- SoWork, for recording and AI notes. If meetings need to be recorded and summarised, your calendar should drive your status, or people want desktop apps.
- SoWork free, for short meetings. If your meetings fit in 30 minutes and you don't need recording, the free plan covers up to 10 members.

How we compared
SoWork's prices, limits and features come from its pricing and download pages, read in October 2026, in US dollars before tax. If something wasn't stated there, we left it out rather than guess. We make TinyFloor, so we've said plainly what it doesn't do. Prices change: check SoWork's page before you buy.
