What does Gather cost?
Since September 2025, Gather charges for every member and has no free plan. Here is what that comes to for your team, worked out by size, and what the same team pays on other virtual offices. Prices are from Gather's own pricing and help pages, checked in October 2026.

Gather's plans

- Essential. $15 a member a month, or $12 billed yearly. It includes every Gather feature: a custom virtual office, unlimited meetings and chat, Google Calendar, GitHub and Spotify integrations, guests, and meeting recordings and transcriptions with monthly hour allowances.
- Custom. Priced by Gather's sales team, for large teams that want custom onboarding and enterprise features.
- Free trial. 30 days free, then Essential. There is no permanent free plan.

What changed in 2025
On September 15, 2025, Gather launched Gather 2.0 and moved both the new and the original version to pricing per member: $15 a member a month, or $12 billed yearly. Before, teams paid for how many people were in the office at the same time.
The free plan ended for both versions. Teams already paying could lock in their old price before the change. For a small team that used Gather for free, this was the moment it started to cost money.
The same team elsewhere
Here is what the same teams pay a month on other virtual offices, on the cheapest plan that fits them.
| Team | Gather, billed yearly | TinyFloor | SoWork Basic, billed yearly | Kumospace Business |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 people | $60 | $19 | $27 | Free (up to 5 members) |
| 10 people | $120 | $19 | $54 | $160 |
| 25 people | $300 | $49 | $135 | $400 |
When Gather is worth it
- You want to design your office. Gather lets you lay out floors, rooms and objects. Most alternatives give you a ready-made office.
- You need recordings and transcripts. Essential includes them, with hour allowances each month.
- Your day runs on Google Calendar and GitHub. Gather's integrations show your status and activity in the office.
- When it isn't. If your team mostly needs to see who's around, talk and meet, you're paying for features you won't use, every month, for every person.
