Virtual watercooler
A virtual watercooler that happens on its own.
Remote teams schedule social time because nothing happens by chance. On a shared floor you pass people, see who's around and stop to chat.

Run into people
Walking between desks and rooms, you pass teammates and can stop for a word.
Music in the lounge
Put a song on the jukebox for the afternoon, for everyone in the room.
No calendar invite
The floor is open all day, so a chat starts when you want one and ends when you walk off.
The small moments, back.
Morning
Say hello
Pass a few desks on your way in and say good morning.
Afternoon
Put a song on
Start the jukebox in the lounge for whoever's around.
Friday
Wind down
Meet in the meeting room for a drink and a chat, cameras on or off.
Common questions.
What is a virtual watercooler?
It's the informal chat a remote team misses from an office: running into people and talking about anything. On TinyFloor it happens on the floor instead of in a scheduled call.
Do watercooler chats use meeting hours?
Chats between two people never count. Only group meetings count toward the monthly hours.
Can we play music together?
Yes. Walk up to the speaker in the room to play music that everyone in the room hears.
Is it only for social time?
No. The same floor is where your team works all day; the watercooler is just the part between tasks.
