Why small teams look for a WorkAdventure alternative
- Free rooms are public. WorkAdventure says its free plan's rooms are open to anyone with the link. Members, roles and limiting entry to certain email addresses come with the paid plans.
- A world to build first. Templates get you started, but the map is yours to arrange, and a custom one is often a job for a designer. Some teams just want to walk in.
- Self-hosting is a project. Running WorkAdventure on your own servers gives you full control, and it also means someone on the team keeps it up and updated.
- Paying for capacity. Business is priced for how many people can be online at once, so you choose a number and pay for it, and change it as the team grows.
What WorkAdventure does better
- A world of your own. A map editor, templates, personalised desks and avatars, and a design team you can hire for a custom map. TinyFloor has one ready-made office.
- Open source and self-hosting. You can run it on your own servers or private cloud and keep your data there. TinyFloor is hosted only.
- Events and conferences. Speaker zones where only the speaker is heard, day pricing for one-off events, recording and live streaming to YouTube.
- Integrations. Paid plans connect Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Google Calendar and Google Meet, and there are AI bots and webhooks.
- A bigger free plan. Ten people at once, with no time limit, is one of the roomiest free plans among the virtual offices we compared, if public rooms are fine for you.
Which one fits your team
- TinyFloor, for a ready office. For a team of 4 to 15 that wants a private office it can open today, with desks, a meeting room and chat, for one price instead of a count of seats.
- WorkAdventure, for your own world. If you want to design the space, host it yourself, run events in it, or connect it to Microsoft Teams or Google Calendar.
- WorkAdventure free, for an open space. If public rooms are fine and you're 10 or fewer online at once, the free plan may be all you need.

How we compared
WorkAdventure's prices, limits and features come from its pricing page and its pricing FAQ, read in October 2026, in US dollars before tax. If something wasn't stated there, we left it out rather than guess. We make TinyFloor, so we've said plainly what it doesn't do. Prices change: check WorkAdventure's page before you buy.
