ZEP alternative

A ZEP alternative built for a team's workday.

ZEP is a broad virtual space for classes, events and offices. TinyFloor does one thing: a private office where a small team sees who's in and talks. Free for 3, then $29 a month for the whole team.

Free for up to 3 people · No card needed

ZEP and TinyFloor at a glance

ZEP is a 2D virtual space from a company in Seoul, used for classes, events and offices. TinyFloor is narrower: a private office for a working team. Both run in the browser and let you walk up to people to talk.

What ZEP costs

ZEP is free for up to 10 people connected at once. Beyond that, or for privacy controls, Basic is $4 per user a month billed yearly or $5 monthly, and Pro, which adds analytics, unlimited apps and a custom address, is $5 or $7. Enterprise, for events of 300 or more, is priced by sales.

Why teams look for a ZEP alternative for work

  • Built for many things. ZEP serves classrooms, quizzes, fairs and offices, and much of it now leans toward education. A team that only wants an office gets a lot it won't use.
  • A space to build. ZEP gives you maps to design and apps to install. That's a strength for events, and a job for a team that just wants to start working.
  • Privacy costs extra. On the free plan a space can't have a password, be limited to signed-in people or be hidden from search. Those come with Basic.
  • One screen share at a time. The free plan allows one screen share and one spotlight per map, which gets tight when two people need to show something at once.

What ZEP does better

  • Events and classes. Large events, quizzes, learning tools and Enterprise servers for 300 people or more. TinyFloor isn't built for any of that.
  • Spaces you design. ZEP's maps can look like a campus, a fair or a branded office. TinyFloor's office is ready-made.
  • A generous free plan for a group. Ten people at once, free. For a team of up to 10 that's happy with a public, unprotected space, it costs nothing.
  • Apps and analytics. Add apps to a space, connect Google Analytics and download visit and chat history on Pro.

Which one fits your team

  • TinyFloor, for a team's workday. For 4 to 15 people who want a private office that's ready on day one: who's in, who's busy, a meeting room and chat, for one price.
  • ZEP, for classes and events. If you teach, host events or want a space you design yourself, ZEP covers far more.
  • ZEP free, for a small open group. If 10 people at once is enough and the space doesn't need a password, the free plan may be all you need.

How we compared

ZEP's prices, limits and features come from its pricing page and home page, read in October 2026, in US dollars before tax. If something wasn't stated there, we left it out rather than guess. We make TinyFloor, so we've said plainly what it doesn't do. Prices change: check ZEP's page before you buy.

Common questions.

Is ZEP free?

ZEP has a free plan for up to 10 people connected at once, with one spotlight and one screen share per map and one app. Password protection, hiding the space from search and signed-in-only entry start on Basic, at $4 per user a month billed yearly or $5 monthly.

Is ZEP a virtual office?

It can be. ZEP is a general virtual space, used for classes, quizzes, events and offices; recently much of it is aimed at education. TinyFloor is only an office for a working team.

What does ZEP have that TinyFloor does not?

Maps you build and decorate, room for large events, quizzes and learning tools, apps you can add to a space, visitor analytics and mobile apps. If you run classes or events, ZEP covers far more.

Is a TinyFloor office private?

Yes, on every plan, the free one included. Teammates join with a free account through your invite link; nobody finds the office by searching.

Does TinyFloor work on phones?

Yes. It runs in mobile browsers with an on-screen joystick, so there is no app to download.
